Privacy Policy
How Happita collects, uses and protects your personal information — in plain language, without the small print.

Introduction & the information we collect
Happita (“we”, “us”) runs this store and the happita.com website. This policy explains what we collect when you browse, order or get in touch, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to everyone who uses the site, whether or not you buy anything.
We collect three kinds of information:
- Personal details you give us. Your name, email address, delivery and billing addresses, and phone number when you place an order, create an account, join our mailing list or contact us. If you write to us, we keep the message so we can answer it.
- Order and payment details. What you bought, when, the amount, delivery status and returns history. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider and processed by them — we never see or store your full card number.
- Technical and cookie data. Your IP address, browser and device type, and how you move through the site. Cookies keep your basket and your signed-in session working, remember your preferences, and — where you have agreed — help us understand which pages are useful. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser, though the basket and checkout need the essential ones to function.
How we use your information
We use your information only for the purposes below, and we do not sell it to anyone.
- Processing your order. Taking payment, picking and packing, arranging delivery, handling returns and refunds, and sending the confirmations and dispatch notices that go with them.
- Customer support. Answering your questions, resolving problems with an order, and keeping a record of what was agreed so you do not have to repeat yourself.
- Security and fraud prevention. Protecting your account, detecting fraudulent orders and misuse of the site, and keeping our systems safe.
- Improving the store. Understanding which products and pages people look for, so we stock and present them better.
- Marketing, only if you asked for it. If you joined our mailing list we will send you news of drops and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops the marketing immediately — it does not affect messages about an order you have placed.
We share information only with the suppliers who make the store work — our payment provider, delivery partners, and the services that host the site and send our email — and only what each of them needs. They act on our instructions and may not use your details for their own purposes. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
Data protection & security measures
We take practical, current measures to keep your information safe:
- The whole site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you send is protected in transit.
- Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider on their own PCI-DSS compliant systems. Card numbers never reach our servers.
- Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to do their job, and is protected by individual accounts and strong authentication.
- Our software and servers are kept patched and up to date, and data is backed up so it can be restored.
- We keep your information only as long as we need it — order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and other details until they are no longer needed or you ask us to erase them.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a breach ever affects your personal data and puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant regulator promptly, as the law requires.
Your rights
The information is yours, and you can exercise any of these rights at any time:
- Access. Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Correction. Have anything inaccurate or incomplete put right.
- Deletion. Ask us to erase your personal data, where we have no legal obligation to keep it — order records we must retain for tax purposes are the usual exception.
- Portability. Receive the details you gave us in a common, machine-readable format, or have them sent to another provider.
- Objection and restriction. Object to a particular use of your data, or ask us to pause using it while a query is resolved.
- Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent — marketing email, non-essential cookies — you can withdraw it whenever you like.
Write to contact@happita.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can make a request in your name. Exercising any of these rights is free and we will not treat you differently for it.
